Brief
Use UI/UX design to solve a problem that a generation of today faces.
About
Millennials today face the challenge of navigating parenthood with the rise of digital media and technological devices being the new norm. After compiling insights gained from interviewing millennials (both parents and those interested in raising a family), we decided to develop an app that would help engage children in slower content consumption, and also help parents monitor their childrens’ usage.
Role
To ideate and design any feature of the app entirely.
PROTOTYPE SKETCHING
Content in the early eras of the internet was carefully designed, used color in a way that did not overstimulate the eye but was still fun and eye catching. I thus went for a design direction inspired by the visuals of these 90s websites, and the pixel-bit graphics of older video games.

Wallpapers inspired by games like Tetris, Pacman, Kahoot and more.
In Play Mode, you scroll a social media app like regular, until you scroll and have to answer a quiz about the video you just saw, or navigate through a maze, or put together pieces of a puzzle to be able to proceed. With settings being completely customizable, you can choose which games to play, what kind of content your child will be seeing, mirror the screen to the parents’ phone, as well as the frequency with which the game(s) appear.
