Created for Foundation in Graphic Design course at FIT, Sep-Dec 2025

Brief

Create a three-spread zine depicting any aspect from one out of the five senses, and accompany it with a poster for an event as well as an animation to expand its application. All content has to be self-written, making the zine entirely yours.

With sound as my sense, I broke down the different ways in which sound integrates with its surroundings, all in three parts; in the physical world, digitally, and through our past. The title of “the [W]hole Picture” is a tongue-in-cheek to the content of the zine, and how sound contributes largely to viewing the whole picture.

The zine unfolds to reveal this poster at the back, promoting a gallery opening based on its themes.

Working on this zine over an extended period of time, ideating everything from the themes to the design, writing the content, and expanding its application through motion taught me how to work on a project from scratch, all by myself! I was also able to gain an understanding of various facets of graphic work on this project, from publication design to animation.
