Tasked with creating dropcaps for three chapters of a book, I chose a supernatural classic; Anne Rice’s Interview with a Vampire. Having seen its televised adaptation, alot of my visual references came from the cinematography of the show. I aimed to show a mysterious, thrilling feel through my illustrations whilst still incorporating the book’s dark, mature theme through color without it being overwhelming.
